Drinking alcohol causes blood capillaries to enlarge in the nose. Existing allergies can be irritated by an extra glass of wine at dinner. Every additional alcoholic drink increases the risk of allergies. Yeast and bacteria in the alcohol naturally produce histamines and sulfites during fermentation process which causes itchy eyes or a stuffy nose and contributing to worsening allergies.

If one jumps or takes drugs late, symptoms like a runny nose, weepy eyes and sneezing in the evening will appear. Allergy medications called antihistamines are meant to block histamines. It is recommended that one should take the medications approximately two weeks before the season of allergy starts so that the drug can start working before being exposed to the allergens.

In the bedding and mattresses, dust mites can collect thereby triggering asthma and allergies. The little creatures are kept alive by the moisture from body sweat. Making the beddings in the morning keeps the mites intact in bed.

  1. Hanging out with Friends who Smoke

Smoking is a bad habit for everybody, but the ones with allergies suffer most. The particles can still irritate the allergy sufferers even when the smokers are not smoking at that time. The particles attach themselves to the clothing and hair of smokers, other objects, and furniture.
